Sovran Commodities.
Sovran Commodities is a Hong Kong commodity brokerage. It structures agricultural, industrial, and energy transactions between producers and institutional buyers across Asia and Europe.
The firm was established in [YEAR — CONFIRM] and is operated by [OPERATOR — CONFIRM]. The desk is located in Hong Kong SAR.
Sovran Commodities does not own inventory, charter vessels, or take positions. It structures transactions between verified counterparties and stands between them. Every counterparty passes KYC, sanctions screening, and origin verification before an introduction is made.
The firm works five commodity desks. The agriculture desk trades soybeans, cocoa, and cashew nuts on GAFTA and FOSFA contract forms. The gases desk trades LPG, LNG, and propane. The art desk places fine art and collectible assets between verified principals with documented title and provenance. The boutique goods desk sources small-run specialty goods at origin. The construction materials desk delivers cement, clinker, steel, and timber to industrial buyers.
Sovran Commodities also structures waste-to-energy projects around supercritical water gasification. Organic waste gasifies above the critical point of water and yields a hydrogen and methane fuel gas together with treated water. The reactors are series-produced in Europe and operating today. Sovran handles the feedstock contract, the offtake, the finance, and the interface with the permitting authority.
Every transaction is papered the same way. Documentary credits are issued under UCP 600, collections handled under URC 522, and delivery terms set under Incoterms 2020. Standby credits are issued under ISP98 where the structure calls for one.
Inquiries are answered by a person and held in confidence. The desk can be reached at mandates@sovrancommodities.com.
