These terms cover the use of sovrancommodities.com. Using the site means you accept them.

They do not cover any transaction. Transactions run on the documents signed for that transaction, and those documents beat anything written here.

This site is not an offer

Nothing here is an offer you can accept, a quotation, a solicitation, an invitation to invest, or a promise to buy, sell, broker, or arrange anything. Descriptions of commodities, capabilities, routes, specifications, and process are indicative. They change without notice.

Visiting this site or filling in a form creates no contract, mandate, agency, partnership, or fiduciary duty between us.

What you send us

We treat inquiries with commercial discretion. That is not the same as legal confidentiality, which starts only when a non-disclosure agreement is signed. Do not send us something you need protected before that agreement exists.

Sending an inquiry earns no fee, commission, introduction, or non-circumvention protection. Those come from signed documents naming the parties and the transaction, and from nothing else.

Accuracy

We take care with what we publish here. We do not warrant that it is complete, current, or free of error, and it is no substitute for your own verification, inspection, and advice. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, financial, regulatory, or investment advice.

Sanctions

We do not transact with any person or entity subject to sanctions administered by the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Nations, or the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We do not deal in goods or destinations prohibited under applicable export controls.

When you contact us you confirm that you, any party you represent, and the beneficial owners of both, are not subject to those measures, and that your inquiry does not concern a prohibited transaction. We screen counterparties before any transaction proceeds. Inquiries that fail screening are declined without explanation.

Our material

The content, wording, layout, design, and marks on this site belong to Sovran Commodities or are used under licence. Do not copy, reproduce, or use them commercially without written permission. Photographs licensed under Creative Commons are credited where they appear and used under that licence.

Third parties

Where this site mentions third-party technology, equipment, or providers, that is not agency, endorsement, or authority to contract on their behalf. Technical information about third-party equipment is released only under a signed non-disclosure agreement.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from using this site or relying on what it says, including lost profit, lost contracts, and indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability

We can change, suspend, or withdraw this site at any time without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

This does not limit your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, your right to complain to a supervisory authority, or your right to bring proceedings where you live.
